Since September 4, I started the Dutch language course again. Omg, and today, 6th October is already over. Ask me, what did you remember from the course? How did the course go for you? I hardly remember anything because this 80 hours flew by very quickly, terrible.
I was very happy to learn the language again with the teacher Pieter, but this time it was different.
This Dutch course did not go well for me, a lot of unlearned material, 500 pages, 2 books is too much for 80 hours (short course).
Thank you Pieter for suggesting that after the first Dutch course I take another 80 hours, but it was not for me, the pace is too fast and I can’t say anything in Dutch, I don’t even know why. I was well aware during the whole course that I should do my homework immediately after each class and do it for good learning, but my training plan + work sometimes didn’t allow me to do it. Half of the course I didn’t realize how fast everything was being studied, and the second half I was trying to study, repeat and catch up with the others, because there were 3 exams on the course.
Belgium itself reminds me of some life exams throughout my time here. I confess that doing something because of what someone said is not for me. I want to learn the language – I will do it with pleasure, I want to run a lot – I will do it without the coach’s instructions.
Well, for now I don’t plan to study Dutch further, because, again I repeat, level 1.2 (A2) is sufficient for communication with others, even those who are not native English speakers. I have 100% enough knowledge of Dutch to go to a doctor’s appointment or a public utility. After all, the CLT school and led to this level of knowledge in this course, which I also think is very true. Just sitting and learning single words is the Ukrainian method, which is clearly not for me. Thank you, Pieter and CLT school for my second productive course in Dutch. In a year later, hopefully, I will write a full post here myself in Dutch (Vlaams) ! Tot ziens!
